Wide Open Spaces...

I'm dying to go on a trip out to Marfa the next time I'm back in Texas and check out Liz Lambert's new venture El Cosmico....

Here's the info via the Austin American Statesman:
Austin hotel maven Liz Lambert's latest creation, El Cosmico in Marfa, is now taking reservations - but not for rooms. El Cosmico is a collection of trailers, yurts, tepees and camp sites. It's really perfect for that part of West Texas, which prides itself on its starry sky. The fully restored, furnished and equipped vintage trailers start at $75 a night, as do the yurts (March through October only for the yurts, though). Tepees are $60, and tent camping costs $20. El Cosmico's on U.S. 67 at the edge of town. You can visit www.elcosmico.com, but at this point there's not much information there. Call 432-729-1950.

If you're ever in Austin stay in one of  Liz's other 2 hotels, the famed Hotel San Jose, and the swanky St Cecelia for the real Austin vibe...
