Marais is Here!

Well, it may be too early to get out the sweaters but you can work a little fall into your wardrobe by putting away the sandals and pairing those summer dresses and skirts with some new boots and flats...to that end Marais USA just showed up at the shop...
a pretty flat ($150), a sexy wedge ($120) , a basic boot ($145), and a classic loafer ($98)...complete autumn shoe wardrobe without breaking the bank! Which one is your favorite?
xoxo, M

ps - if anyone has any tricks on getting a baby to take a bottle please tell! I may have to show up in Dallas with Louisa in tow...yikes!

  1. Cute shoes! And I think your absence will help her with the bottle, as she won't have any other choice. I bet she'll refuse the first day at most and then will be okay (that's how it was with my son at least!). Really wish you were coming to Austin instead of Dallas!

  2. Ohhhh, those wedges! I neeeed them. Stat!
How old is Lousia? Did you try a sippy cup? My son would never take a bottle. He was 6 months by the time he was first given one. So a friend of mine told me to skip it and give him a sippy. Worked like a charm. Try the ones that have a long nozzle and two handles. Hope all is well.
    Best,
    Tina

  3. I'll only be gone 24hrs so hopefully she'll be fine...I think I'm more worried about the Mr...Tina - she's almost 5 months, do you think a sippy would work at that age?

  5. great shoes (and good prices). sounds harsh, but as my pediatrician said, if they're hungry, they'll eventually take the bottle. it my twins a few weeks of intense protesting and back arching before they finally stopped fighting it, but it was hard. hopefully smoother for you :)

  6. Oh man, your shop has become a serious addiction! These are super cute.

Maybe Louisa doesn't like the nipple on the bottle. Try another.

  7. My Z only took a bottle when she was held facing outward, not cradled, and I couldn't be anywhere near. If she smelled fresh from the source, forget it!

  8. Thanks everone - headed to Target to get some other options for her to try!
Joslyn - I would bring her but I selfishly want a day on my own - we'll see ;)

  9. Nice additions to the shop! I wish I could help on the bottle front...all of my kiddos rejected the bottle. I agree about trying the sippy cup, though. It kind of worked for them. They also tried drinking out of regular cups (really, really tiny sips!) Good luck! Wish I could go to Dallas...not only for the awesome goodies but I would have volunteered to be Louisa's nanny for the day. ;) She is just the cutest! xo-k

  10. Oh, yes....Mama needs a trip alone! Yeah...I think 5 months might work?? There was an aluminum sippy with two handles that mine loved. It had a long nozzle on it.
    Good luck,
    Tina
