The morning has not gone well...5 am wake up, demanding chocolate for breakfast, and tears for the brief amount of time it takes me to take a shower...whew! Luckily we have ballet class to cheer us up but until then I think I better unplug for the day and try to live by this excellent quote via Torrie:
But then I remind myself that perfection has no place in parenting, and "for life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday." -Kahlil Gibran
Feeling the same way this morning? Here's an excellent article here on how being a "good enough" parent is actually pretty great via Blooma
See y'all tomorrow...

Ahhh, I need to be reminded of my own post this morning... thank you. =)
ReplyDeleteA tough one on our end as well... missing homework, tears, mean words, more tears & apologies over the mean words, late {agaaaaaain} to school...
Have fun @ ballet, and good luck with the rest of your day!
Tears in our car this morning were over not having an equal amount of Goldfish between the two boys. I suppose I should be reevaluating that food choice in the morning, but I'll do that later over a cocktail.
ReplyDeleteOh I like that quote and I like the idea of good enough parenting. It's been a couple of days!
