Considering I've worn my Ilana Kohn Daryl tee practically every other day this month I would definitely consider her new collection a summer essential (you know, behind sunscreen & ice tea), so I asked the brains behind these dreamy pieces what her hot weather must haves are...

Dream Collective Store!

Last weekend Clare Vivier opened her gorgeous new flagship in LA and tonight her former shop mate Kathryn Bentley is debuting the Dream Collective store right around the corner...not only will she be showcasing her own amazing jewelry but lots of goodies from some of my absolute favorite designers...knowing Kathryn's crazy good taste the corner of Sunset & Micheltorena promises to be Los Angeles's best shopping destination!

and how cool is it she chose the summer solstice for her celebration?

Design Mom Living With Kids!

Can I geek out on you a little bit?? I'm on one of my very favorite tippy top blogs today - Design Mom!! The lovely Gabrielle asked me to be in her "Living With Kids" series and it's up today...whohoo! 

Mucho love and thanks to Nadia Haddad (interior designer extraordinaire) & Emily Saunders for making my spaces look waaaayyyy cooler than normal on short notice and to photographer Paul Owen of Owen Photo for taking such happy pretty pictures...

(On a side note, re: Gabrielle - I'm convinced that all the really top uber bloggers are there because not only are they very talented but are also extremely nice and supportive of other women, no?)

Good Buy...

I'm going to try and get back to blogging about some useful things like buying leopard pants (hahaha!)...no seriously, I just got these on super sale at J Crew (yep, basically my entire wardrobe is stuff from my shop + J Crew...sad but true)...they are listed at $79 online but in the store $45 plus an extra 30% off...and they are kind of the perfect pant...a little roomy so I rolled up the hem for a slouchy look and paired it with an oversize silk top and flat sandals...Emily pointed out how cute they would be with a stripe tee too...plus you could throw on heels for date night or a slouchy sweater when it gets cold...

I might suggest buying them a bit loose as I think the beauty lies in being able to throw them on with converse & a gray tee and run to the playground...

It's Monday and I'm a Mess!

Are you messy or a neat freak? I'm most definitely the former and was probably grounded more than any other kid EVER thanks to my refusal to clean up my room...I used to yell at my parents "Gimme a break! Messiness equals creativity!" (nice faux artistic temperament, eh?) stomp away, shove everything humanly possible under the bed and in the closet and then call it a day...

I like to think that I've matured beyond those years but the mess is still a daily struggle...

It's not pretty friends...but the lovely Trina has a fantastic series on her blog - Monday Mess - about finding the beauty in your clutter and asked me to join in today...(aren't you just crazy about Trina? Totally my kind of gal, and someone who maintains her sense of humor and cool with 4 lala's underfoot is my personal hero)...so go check out my Monday Mess...
